One level 5 front vs. multiple level 2 fronts

When you have a group of fronts in an area that you're trying to upgrade, do you prefer to focus on one front and upgrade it to level 5 before upgrading any of the surrounding fronts, or do you prefer to have your fronts share the upgrades? (Upgrade all to level 2, then upgrade all to level 3, etc.)

On the one hand, one level 5 front provides as much income as 16 level 1 fronts. It takes 30,000 points to upgrade a brand new front to level 5. The same 30,000 points can be used to upgrade 10 brand new fronts to level 2. Those 10 level 2 fronts yield as much income as 20 level 1 fronts. Of course, it takes far more time to collect from 10 fronts than to collect from 1.

When I focus on one front, I sometimes feel like I should be upgrading the neighboring fronts instead. However, when I'm trying to upgrade multiple fronts, I feel like I should be focusing on just one.

What's your strategy? Which do you give priority to first, upgrading one front to level 5 or upgrading several neighboring fronts to level 2?

I started out leveling all together but realized that I frequently had several fronts that could have been leveled already and making me more money so I just started leveling them as they were ready to be leveled. I would focus on certain fronts within groups based on my usual collections route and then switch over to focus on others once those leveled. If I had one or more groups of pyros in an area I would typically pull them all to one front in particular to power level it and maybe switch off to others after I picked up a level. Lower levels can be leveled faster and cost less in mats, of course, so spreading it around rather than trying to power level all the way to 5 is probably better.

Public Fronts: I'd get them to L3 and leave them there.. it's not too big of an investment and they cannot be taken over easily simply by raiding.

Private Fronts: Quality over Quantity! Go for L5 over getting tons of lower level fronts!
